-The Wembley Stadium pitch measures 105m x 68m
-A pitch is watered before play to make the ball move faster over the surface.
-Stripes are created by the mower rolling the grass in opposite directions and light reflection from the leaves.
-Fertilisers are used to improve the presentation of the pitch.
- Modern pitch construction techniques use nearly 100% sand
- A number of league club pitches contain a small percentage (usually <5%) of plastic grass blades to improve wear.
-The width of the white lines are 125mm (5")
